What is a lab?

Baci Sospesi labs are creative workshops where artists come together to explore the project through listening, conversation and making. Its audio portraits and manifesto offer a starting point; each participant brings their own experience, questions and artistic practice.

A lab gives shared time to ideas that need other people to grow. Words, images and gestures take shape through the encounter, becoming works that can reach beyond the workshop and invite others to respond.

Sprouting names that possibility: something begins between us and finds a form through what we make together. Each lab develops in relation to its people and place, keeping empathy, courage, hope and human connection at its centre.

Making something together is also a way to resist isolation. We nurture our common humanity by listening, sharing and acting together.
